Britain is under attack. We read about well-known companies like Harrods, Marks & Spencer, and Jaguar Land Rover becoming hacking victims, causing huge losses. However, there have been 100,000 cyberattacks so far this year, with 90,000 of them originating from Russia.
Putin’s forces have cut Baltic Sea internet cables, and their ships loiter above those connecting Britain to Europe.
Every day now we hear of incursions by Russian warplanes and drones into NATO airspace.
Lady Olga Maitland, President of the Defence and Security Forum, will explain the geo-politics behind this hybrid warfare and provide insights into where it may lead us if we do nothing.
What hybrid and cyber warfare are, and the four ways our adversaries wage them against us.
Why the public is unconcerned when the evidence is before our eyes: jailed spy rings, probing Russian aircraft and drone incursions, and loitering Russian ships above sea-crossing Internet cables.
Why do our different adversaries wage a hybrid war against us to start with? What do they want to achieve long-term from the chaos they cause?
What Britain would look like under a devastatingly effective hybrid warfare attack. How would society fare without mobile phones, the Internet, and the ability to withdraw cash or pay for shopping electronically?
How Britain’s support for Ukraine has made it a more attractive target for Russia.
The role of sabotage and the attacks the media have not reported—and why.
Lady Olga’s National Resilience Campaign and how you can get involved.
